Question: I have a ZIP drive and want to do a backup, but it does not work. Why?

Answer: Before you do a backup, you have to set the ZIP drive name in the system. Click SYSTEM/System Setup/System1. Enter THE ZIP drive name (e.g. E). Exit. Go to Utility. Click Back Up. Click Yes.

 

Question: I want to do a backup on a CD, but it does not work. Why?

Answer: There can be several reasons why you cannot do a backup. Check whether the following actions have been taken:

  1. For backup purposes you need to use re-writable CDs (CD-RW).

  2. Before you do a backup, you have to set the CD drive name in the system. Click SYSTEM/System Setup/System1. Enter the CD drive name (e.g. E). Exit. Go to Utility. Click Back Up. Click Yes.

  3. Download a programme called InCD from the internet (www.nero.com). You can download it free of charge. This programme enables you to use your CD as a big floppy disk (e.g. you can copy and delete files).

  4. Format your CD before you start using it for Backup. Put your CD in the computer. The InCD programme does the formatting.

Question: I had a hardware crash. What can I do?

Answer: You have to reinstall Auto Care Software on your new or repaired computer. Install the software from the original CD. Enter name and password as stated on your purchase invoice. Retrieve your database from your last backup
